ELIE SAAB SHOW ROOM

During last week I had the honor to be invited to an Elie Saab trunk show, for a exclusive sale of his amazing spring ready to wear collection. The event was held at the super hip  Habita Hotel, and was a total success, it was great to get to see his garments up close, and to really appreciate the stunning 3D details on the embellished pieces. I loved everything on the racks, specially the beautiful gowns, which clearly show that he is a master of embroidery and its so cool that even in the simplest clothes, you can still see the details that distinguishes him and make his designs unique. I took this few pics while looking around the room, so that you could have a small peek at his collection too.

Mondays are always tough, but you’ll see It will go by fast..
Have a great day!

UNDER THE SPOTLIGHT

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with an amazing team of talented girls, to create a series of looks, and a super cool photo shoot for Par La Roy, a local boutique,  which has become a great platform, for all the up n coming Mexican designers. They sell super exclusive and unique clothes, all made by young fashion designer from all over the country. It’s amazing how much talent we have around and sometimes we don't get to see what they have to offer, so the Par La Roy girls and I, decided to team up to promote this them, by collaborating with an awesome duo of photographer and a make up artist,  to showcase some of this brands. I styled several outfits, by mixing their cool pieces with some of my own to add my personal touch, the first look of the series was created by a super intricate top and a basic pair of high waisted shorts, to let the clip on top be the center of attention.

Clip on suede shirt - Adriana Salazar / Linen shorts - Vintage / Chunky chain & pearl bracelets - Trece de corazones / Color block heels - Jessica Simpson.

THE STEPFORD GIRL

Last week I wore a super feminene look, formed by my new floral print brocade pants and a super cute matching flower detail blouse, to create the perfect spring outfit. While looking for the right location to shoot, I found this lovely house, that looked like a replica of a suburban family's home; it’s details matched great with my outfit, they complemented each other so good. Later after watching the photos, I realized that the look plus the house, kind of resembled a modern take on a the stepford wife's style, which was always supposed to be impeccable, elegant and super sophisticated, the idea of “the perfect house wife”. It is kind of funny, I know! I’m not even close to being one, but for some reason, it seemed that I could belong there.

3D flower top - Mango / Floral print brocade pants - H&M / Pearl and gold pendant earrings - Vintage / Raffia box clutch - Sfera / Cat eye sunnies - Chloe / Rings - Forever 21, Sfera & Eagle claw - Allurina MANIK / Golden watch - Michael Kors / SIlver cap Stilettos - Zara.

Have a great week start, you’ll see it will go by faster than you think!

Andrea

DENIM ON DENIM

Denim is considered to be one of the most casual fabrics, it's super practical to use, specially when worn on jeans, but with time denim clothes have become more popular and have shifted into more fashion forward pieces. Now it is a super hot trend, to wear denim all over, some how by mixing different garments you get a cool contrast, in a monochromatic look. Like on this denim on denim ensemble, created with a fitted pencil skirt and a basic sleeveless shirt, to get a super chic yet casual combination.

Denim shirt - Bershka / Denim Pencil skirt - Express / Neon Satchel - Stella Ritwaggen / Big ombre sunnies - Gap / Maxi square ring - Uno de 50 /  Eagle claw ring -Allurina Manik / Watch - Michael Kors / Ankle cuff sandals - Zara.

To complete my look I added a pop of color and contrast with my neon satchel, and  wore  my new minimal ankle strap sandals, to keep the look polished and simple. I wore a super natural makeup, with super bright hot pink lips, to match my colorful nails and pulled my straight hair back for a slick and edgy look.

Have a great week!
love,
Andrea
